A Rose Romance

There are a few very good reasons why I am absolutely addicted to M.A.C. and have found few make-up brands that can compare. First of all, the vividness of the exhausting range of colors is almost incomparable. There is a color to match every skin-tone, no matter how light or dark one may be. Plus, for those ladies who want to take their make-up a notch and try more dramatic looks, MAC has a multitude of its own artist-inspired creations to choose from under Looks. There will never be a shortage of choices. All one truly needs is a little inspiration!
So what does MAC have in store for this season? With the onset of spring, MAC's latest collection, is rose-inspired with touches of sheer pinks, shimmery lilacs and soft blues. The entire feel of this collection is very delicate and surreal. Browse through some of the looks inspired by this collection and you'll find yourself nodding in agreement.
So what are my personal favorites? I fell in love with the new See thru Lip Color in Tender Tryst. I'm not a huge fan of dramatic mouths as I nearly almost always emphasize my eyes more but this color is simply sumptuous and will have your mouth dripping in les cerises!
Sooner or later, it's definitely going to find its way into my handbag! ;)

Career Inspiration

Patricia Field.

I'd be the happiest person in the world to meet, job-shadow, or even talk to for 1 brief minute with this woman. The work she has done for the most fashion forward shows and movies is outstanding. Simply put, a fashion icon.

Beyonce in Balmain

As much as I hate to admit it, celebrities do sometimes influence my decision when it comes to clothing. I mean, take the Balmain jacket seen on Beyonce for example, I had only noticed the denim version of this jacket when I was browsing through the Spring '09 collection on style.com. Had I not seen these pictures popping up all over the net of her in this jacket, I would have never known it existed!
However, now that I've studied every little detail, starting from the angular shoulder pads to the eagles etched on the slightly oxidized silver buttons, I must say I am in love.

I have been looking for an "inspired" version on ebay ever since, and ofcourse, the mothership of all knock-offs - Zara. However, for those of you who have the cash to spare, you can get the original for $11,410 or the denim version for 5,075 at net-a-porter.com. For now, I'll live vicariously through Beyonce!
P.S. I LOVE her new hair-cut!

3.5 inches and up

I can never be too tall. At 5'9", it would seem obvious that I shouldn't have to tower over the average person any more than I have to. However that isn't always the case. Let it be known that I don't always wear heels, but the times I do...*sigh*... I feel amazing; a little bit more womanly, a bit more flirty and a lot less shy. The extra confidence that appears with me in heels is definitely needed. Seeing a tall person made taller by artificial means does make them stick out like a sore thumb. Back at home, the minute I take them off, I feel like Cinderella, losing her glitz and glam at midnight. I then understand and feel, just for a second, what it's like being short.

Almost every week, for as long as I can remember, I sit and watch Fashion Television and In Fashion, in the hopes of catching a glimpse of the heels that are on the likes of Coco Rocha, Kate Moss, Chanel Iman, and Daria Werbowy as they parade down the runway of the most in fashion designers. The Louis Vuitton heels from it's recent Spring show caught my eye while watching and I had to find out more.

Behold "Spicy"

There are many variations available that Marc Jacobs had designed for these beauties, which adds to it's appeal and uniqueness. However with my budget, these shoes will remain in my dreams and not in my closet (The price ranges from $1000-$3000).

As the weather is getting warmer, the opportunity for my stilettos, platforms and wedges to make their appearance in the sun is fast approaching. When that time has come, I'll be there and you'll see me, heads above the others.

I guess I jumped on the blogging bandwagon a little too late, but now that I am here, let's talk some fashion! I am the kind of girl who forever finds something or another to obsess about. Once I acquire the object of my desire, I begin to want something new just as quickly.

I am all about accessories, mostly handbags, that is where I spend most, if not all of my money. Most of the handbags in my collection are from Chloe, Yves Saint Laurent, Miu Miu and Balenciaga ofcourse!

For everyday basics, I rely on GAP, Old Navy, and Banana Republic. If I want something that is absolutely unique, Anthropologie is my one stop shop.
