One of My Faves..

...Of the model world is Ms. Crystal Renn. She is absolutely gorgeous and an anomaly in the industry because of her success. Why? She just happens to not be stick-thin, yet she lands spreads in magazines like Vogue, Glamour and most recently, an amazing 18 (!) page spread in January's Elle Canada, on a regular basis.

A few faves from the January shoot (click on them to see a bigger version):

Look at what she's wearing, especially the clothes. Crystal is a size 12. Does it have a negative effect on the photos? Hell no! She makes the clothes look better in my opinion.

Though there was a time when Crystal was thinner and modelling successfully. However she was forced to slim down even further, nearly losing a 1/3 of her body weight, later causing her serious health problems. She later regained her health and 70 pounds, now becoming labelled a "plus sized" model. In 2006 when she closed Jean-Paul Gaultier's S/S fashion show, she received plenty of praise and media attention. Although that's great, it's also a bit saddening when a "plus sized" model appears on the runways algonside her waif-like counterparts, it happens to bring up that much attention. It should be the norm and it'll probably benefit the designers' accounts in the long run.

I'm always happy when I see her in fashion spreads. I know I'll see more of her in the near future. She has a book coming out called "Hungry." It'll be an interesting read.

It's the most wonderful time of the year ... la la la la

Don't you just love Christmas? Everyone just seems so happy, humming away christmas tunes as they buy presents for their loved ones. I for one, am not only excited for Christmas but for what it brings with it. No, I am not talking about Santa Claus. I was thinking about Boxing Day, and if you are a shopaholic like me, you know you can't wait for those prices to drop. Christmas also makes me anticipate the New Year and ofcourse New Year's parties. If you are in a conundrum about what to wear, you have come to the right place. There have been a lot of trends this fall, and a lot of them are very holiday appropriate - sequins, shiny metallics, chrome coloured nails and red lipstick!

Here are a few that are on my wishlist:

1) Club Monaco Sequin Blazer Clearly this is not for any plain Jane, but this is the kind of piece that will pull together a simple outfit and add that glamour factor. Pair it with some skinny jeans and a plain white T and you are good to go to any party! Although the price is a bit steep at $295, there are several affordable look alikes at stores like Urban Planet or Sirens.

2) American Apparel Foil Print Nylon SpandexMicro-Mesh Long SleeveMini Dress

If you want to be a bit daring, try American Apparel's Foil Print Nylon SpandexMicro-Mesh Long SleeveMini Dress with some sheer leggings and over the knee boots. This dress is not only affordable but comes in a gorgeous metallic black-gold and a metallic blue.

3) China Glaze Khrome Collection

I have been completely obsessed with the China Glaze Khrome colour collection since I saw some models wearing a metallic gold colour in issues for Dec/Jan. They look fantastic on short nails and don't emphasize any boo boos that you may have made while applying nail polish (and trust me, I make plenty of mistakes especially while painting the nails on my right hand with my left hand). Although I wasn't able to locate the gold colour that I want, I did pick up a sparkly gunmetal colour from their Romantique collection called Awaken which I thought looked similar to YSL's Tuxedo grey.

4) YSL Rouge Volupte Lipstick in Red muse

I think I would pay for the packaging of the lipstick itself. I love how sophisticated they've made the tube with the gold and YSL logo above the colour of the lipstick. It's genius that they included a tiny mirror on top of the lid so everytime you apply lipstick, you don't have to frantically search for a mirror in your bag, you can just use the lid. Now, the colour, its a red that every girl should have. Even if you are someone who generally shys away from bright colours, you know you can totally pull it off, especially for the holidays.

Polymer Clay and Precious Stone Jewelry

This holiday season, why not get your best friend, loved one or yourself, for that matter, a gift of unique jewelry. Following are some suggestions:

If you are into nature-inspired ornaments, earth coloured accessories, or unusual looking jewelry, I came across an online store that sells just that. Naftali's handmade modern polymer clay jewelry will add a touch of class and sophistication to your attire. The picture that caught my eye was of the Eggplant and Olive Leaf Earrings. The strong olive colour and the thick look of these earrings (they are light weighted) give them a lot of personality and uniqueness. Similar to these are the Brown Mica Leaf Earrings, which remind me of dark brown beetles. Then there are the Autumn Leaf Necklace and earrings, mixing red, brown and orange in a fiery blaze of autumnal enthrallment. The Green and Gold Long Leaf Earrings are more like butterfly pupae, then just curling, half-yellowed leaves. Even more pupae like are the olive drab, dark brown and tangelo orange earrings called the Brown, Green and Gold Polymer Clay Earrings. For all their nature friendly and imagery inspiring qualities, these ornaments are a little pricey. They range from $40 - $50 due to the intricate handiwork and gold-filled or sterling silver ear wires.

However, don't be disappointed yet. Perhaps, you are not such an eccentric anyway and love the more traditional and elegant look. So look no further and peep into the window of young jewelry designer Adina Serbanescu's (figuratively speaking) jewelry store.

The first pair of earrings, shown here, has gold fill wires and chains, with a beautiful combination of small pink tourmaline stones, yellow delicas seed beads, and single, sangria red, semi-precious beads hanging at the end.
The pair on the left is silver ear wires and hoops with a soft coloured combination of (tea green) coral stones, yellow seed beads, and amazonites. The last pair, shown here, is also silver with a sea green bead and a Van Gogh painting set in a bezel with resin. (Talk about classy and traditional!) These wonderful treasures are lowly priced at $20 for the first two with the gold fill/silver and precious stones, and $15 for the third pair. So, if you live in Toronto save on shipping by buying local. To get your hands on one of these or to look for similar finds, contact my wonderful friend Adina at adinaserbanescu@hotmail.com.

Happy Holidays everyone!

STYLE BLACK REVIEW

Make-up fanatics everywhere were eagerly awaiting the arrival of Style Black, a chic, edgy collection that definitely pushed the envelope when it comes to the winter face. As the name suggests, the dominant color in this collection is black with the the odd sprinkle of deep violet and plum colors. I was looking forward to this collection especially for their mineralized eye-shadows which oddly enough, I did not end up getting for a number of reasons that I'll explain later. For now, this collection, while impressive for a number of key items, did not impress me as much as 2008's Cult of Cherry collection that was just sinfully indulgent and oh-so-chic.

Style Black takes a break from the colors of last year's fall/winter collection with nearly every product being black in color, black-toned or a very dark mauve color. Beginning with the limited edition mineralized eyeshadows, I have to say that I liked Young Punk and Blue Flame quite a bit. Gilt by Association was not one of my favorites nor did Cinderfella make the cut. The reasons why I liked Young Punk and Blue Flame, especially over a dark base (think Paint Pot Blackground or a black Cream Color Base from this collection), was because of their vibrancy and glitter. My partner in style (glamourgirl) suggested that Young Punk had a dupe in the permanent collection, namely Beautymarked. A MAC make-up artist said that Cinderfella and Blacktied were quite alike as well. But in my opinion, Young Punk differs from Beautymarked because the former has purple shimmer that is also far more vibrant than the duller red-plum glitter of Beautymarked. Similarly, Blacktied was a less exaggerated version of Cinderfella. Blue Flame and Gilt by Association do not have similar colors in the permanent collection. Personally, I felt that Gilt by Association went great as a crease color with Sumptuous Olive as a lid color. I still opted not to get these particular eyeshadows because of the fallout from the glitter.

Moving onto the creme lipsticks, I completely steered clear of the solid black lipstick as well as its version in the mattene style. However, the mattene lipstick in Night Violet was one of my favorites and this I did purchase. It is a deep violet/mauve color that goes on quite dark. I lightened mine with dabs of Lancome's Juicy Tubes in Simmer that gave it a very purple look. Mixing it with other Juicy Tubes, especially one with a golden shimmer (whose name I don't have), gave it a lighter plum color. A light hand is needed if you want a softer look as this lipstick goes on very dark without much effort at all. Needless to say, this is one of my favorites. Pair it with Nightmoth MAC lipliner for an even more dramatic look!

Moving onto the pencil liner in Feline*. This product is a repromoted product and if I were you, I would get my hands on this black liner as soon as possible because it is sure to sell out. It is a lot like Stila's Kajol pencil in Black Onyx though I find that Stila's is creamier and easier to smudge than Feline. Feline goes on very dark however, a quality that I really appreciate in this pencil. Compare it to Smolder from MAC to see which is darker. Personally, Feline goes darker on me than Smolder. On the MAC artist who was helping me out, Smolder was darker on her hand so I suppose your skin complexion plays a pivotal role in distinguishing this. Once I'm out of my Stila pencil (which runs up to $24.00 as opposed to Feline which runs at max. $20.00 with taxes), my go-to eye pencil for almost every look will definitely be Feline.

I was less than thrilled with the idea of a Grease Paintstick when the collection was first being introduced. I didn't really see the point of it. Plus, I wasn't too thrilled with the fact that there is a very slight purple sparkle in the liner which you can barely see but it is there. I wanted a solid black crayon if I was going to fork up $20.00+ dollars for a product like this. It claims to be smudge-resistant and water-resistant which thankfully enough, it lives up to. I am definitely thrilled with the Grease Painstick and can definitely see myself using it for lining my upper and lower lashlines. Plus, it is versatile so it can be used as a dark base for the mineralized eyeshadows that you may purchase from this collection. Another great thing about this is that you can draw a solid line or smoke it out on your eye for a softer look. I have one Grease Paintstick already. I may consider getting a second back-up just in case! Kohl pencils and black liners are my staples for every look!

Turning to the lip glosses, I would steer clear of the black lipgloss unless there are a series of lipcolors that you wish to darken. On its own, it truly does look like decaying lips for lack of a better metaphor! Since I'm not a heavy lipstick user, I opted to avoid this, especially since dark mouths are a rarity in my repertoire of make-up looks. Blackfire, however, turned out to be pleasantly surprising as it gave my natural lipcolor a slightly darker feel to it without making it look gothic. This isn't a lipgloss for the spring/summer mind you but it certainly is at home during the fall/winter months. Bling Black didn't do much for my lips so I veered away from this one as well.

The Penultimate black liner seems to be a good investment as well though I did not purchase this. I prefer my Fluid Line in Blacktrack for now.

In any case, so there you have it. That's my review of Style Black! Stay tuned for my reviews of some of the MAC pigments from my haul along with swatches! :)

Greta Constantine: A Mini Spotlight

"... we feel when a woman wears one of our pieces, a sense of confidence comes out."-Kirk Pickersgill

In 2005 a label was born. Greta Constantine became the name fronting stylist Kirk Pickersgill, and one-time Project Runway Canada contestant, Stephen Wong, who before PRC, was a costume designer for films. This duo first stepped out onto the proverbial runway with the beautifully draped, Grecian Goddess inspired frocks that caught attention of the Canadian fashion elite and fashion bloggers alike, with their 2006 Spring/Summer Collection. They then received world wide spotlight when Nelly Furtado wore one of their designs to the 49th annual Grammy Awards in 2007.

The Grecian Dresses from their debut S/S '06 collection

Their designs have been seen on celebs such as model Coco Rocha, singers Kreesha Turner, Jully Black and Kelly Clarkson, exclusively designing the costumes for "Fritz Helder and the Phantoms" PLATINUM Show and dressing the aspiring models-to-be of Canada's Next Top Model for an issue of Fashion Magazine.

The brand's '09 season is continuing to get attention and praise. When I asked Kirk what was the collection's current inspiration, he said, "Our inspiration for the Fall/Winter 09 campaign was that even though we are in a recession it's still nice to dream, have a fantasy and look great."

For me, their stand out pieces are, the creative and widely talked about "seat belt" jacket and an emerald green dress that would undoubtedly be worn by another Greta, the late Ms. Garbo, Hollywood film actress of the 20's and 30's.

A GoogleSearch will result in 20,100 results (and counting!) about this label. From when they made their mark in Canadian fashion to where they are going, Greta Constantine is one to watch from here on out. You can find the collection exclusively at Holt Renfrew.

Upcoming Post

In a few days I will put up a post focusing on Canadian design label, Greta Constantine. I was able to ask Kirk Pickersgill, one half of the Greta duo (the other being Stephen Wong) a couple of questions, so once I've put everything together, I'll post what I have!

Accessory Spotlight: The Headband

There are many material things I love in this world; cookware, cameras, movies. This being a blog about the fashion conglomerate, I am going to focus (for this post at least) on an item I simply cannot get enough of: The timeless Headband and it's offspring.

For me, the headband, the hair tie/clip and the head wrap is the cherry on top to a look. After getting a drastically short hair cut, the headband entered at full force when my hair suddenly wasn't long enough. I buy them, modify them and make them to suit my style and taste. For example, a basic thin black plastic head band became adorable once I attached to it a white bow hair clip, aside and slightly askew. With my slowly growing head of hair no longer feeling naked, I now had a preppy look often seen on the head of Leighton Meester's character, Blair, on Gossip Girl.

My collection ranges from those I've made out of scrap fabric or lace, to the stiff hard plastic variety (the pink one below) that make it hard to wear glasses at the same time. They're all kept in a medium sized basket (now overflowing) on my dresser. I would get a larger basket, however my dresser wouldn't be big enough to put it on.

My basket:

On almost daily trips to the mall, I head to my hair "prettifying" mecca: Ardene. They have a 9'x9' foot wall on headbands and head wraps alone, all arranged in a textile rainbow, plus mini aisles of hair clips/ties of varying sizes and styles. The prices are unbelievably easy on my pocket, from 3.99 each to 3 for $1o. Some of which come as a set, which adds to the value and my savings . I am quite sure the salespeople are either tired of seeing me, or are grateful that I am contributing my money to their quarterly profits.

For even more penny-pinching on my part (and somewhat of an impulse) I go to Dollarama and pick up a few cheapies and hope that they last. My recent purchase was an 8-pack of thin elastic bands in metallic varying colours, much to my mother's dismay.

Is this an addiction? Not in the slightest. Once my hair grows out to a length where headbands are no longer necessary for me, I'll use what I have on hand to go with my varying hairstyles. I'll probably have enough by then to start selling them back to stores.

M·A·C Has a New Baby!

Baby Bloom

M·A·C Cosmetics (every makeup fanatics favourite label) has a new collection for the ones who want to look great in the Summer sun, while protecting their skin at the same time. The beautiful Baby Bloom collection consists of five sheer shades of liquid lip balms with an SPF of 20 (Full Of Grace is my fave!) and five light-as-air tinted moisturizers with a SPF of15.

Especially with the heat, humidity and perspiring that Summer undoubtedly brings, painting on the makeup normally used in the colder seasons will do you no favours. This M·A·C collection is guaranteed to keep you looking naturally chic all through the hazy days.

You know what? With UV rays a constant year-round, you might as well designate this collection permanently to your everyday makeup bag. Your skin will thank you.

Mark Your Calendars...

*November 14, 2009*

Stella McCartney, Karl Lagerfeld, Viktor & Rolf and most recently Matthew Williamson, (to name a few) are designers who lent their creative hand to create a limited line for retail giant, H&M. For me at least, the one coming up next is a biggie. JIMMY CHOO. For H&M!! Yeah!...

I have a very minimal budget, so to own a pair of Choo shoes is a pipe dream (or more realistically, something I would have to save up for a long time). Well it won't be for long. On November 14 2009, Jimmy Choo shoes, bags and accessories will enter select H&M stores, albeit for a moment, given that once the store doors open crowds of people will run to get their hands on a remarkably great deal and most likely will sell out in record time, as fellow collaborators of H&M have done.

Jimmy Choo president and founder, Tamara Mellon said to Vogue.com UK of the design partnership, "...a collection appealing to fashion savvy, street smart women, and to be including some great pieces for men, too...Jimmy Choo will bring to H&M a sophisticated, fashion forward, accessible and glamorous collection..."

Here's a sneak peak of what's to come:

Let the countdown begin!

Hello Sally!

If there is one thing that I would never scrimp on, it would be purses. Whenever I go to an Aldo or Town shoes and see all those designer "inspired" bags, I can't help but feel a little sad when I touch the terrible quality of the pleather. The poor material used on these bags, is not only fragile but diminishes the beauty of the original design.

Since last year, I have started to collect handbags and although I don't have oodles and oodles of them, the ones that I do have, I would never part with. Atleast not anytime soon. The bag that I am currently thinking of owning is the Chloe Sally. It is from the S/S 09 collection and has already been seen on the arms of several celebs like Rachel Bilson, Leighton Meester to name a few.

The structured shape of the Sally is bound to be timeless, in fact, it almost reminds me of the Chanel 2.55 because of the flap and the chain strap, but it is updated with a gold metal frame which modernizes that classic shape. I sincerely believe that Chloe bags have the best leather, and the Sally does not disappoint. The Sally, like the Paraty which came out last year, has the most beautiful textured leather which is also very sturdy. It also has the added benefit of a double compartment so it is just as user-friendly without the bulk.

All I need to do now is save up for its $2000 price tag!

My New Makeup Love & The Journey It Took to Finally Get It.

I hate powdered blushes. Always have and most definitely always will. Having skin au chocolat, powder blushes just look horrible and obvious. Gel blushes simply look natural and goes on easier for me. In my early teens, I altered between using Bonne Bell Blushing Gel, bought for a dollar, at King of Cosmetics in Scarborough, (I still have the tube and admittedly still use it 7 years later) and pinching the apples of my cheeks for a quick fix.

Last year while at my uncle's house, my cousin and I were talking about make-up and she mentioned a cool new blush that she knew I might like. That product? Smashbox's O-Glow Cheek Colour. She brought it out and told me to hold out the back of my hand as she put a tiny dab on. I watched amazed as the clear gel slowly started to turn into a pinkish hue. I rubbed it in and loved how quickly it dried, how perfectly it suited my skin tone and how silken it felt afterward.

Of course I asked her where she got it, because I knew in my head that this magic thing would be a godsend to my makeup collection. She said she got it at the Sephora near her and as soon as I got back home, I went online to find out more. Staring at the price, it was obvious to me that with no job or even with a job, I wouldn't shell out $25+ for that, let alone any item of makeup at this point in my life (I am a frugal fashionista). So I pushed this miracle product of Smashbox's to the back of my mind and carried on using the probably-over-expired-maybe-discontinued-but-hey-no-adverse-skin-reaction-here! gel cheek tint I've had for so long. Until today.

I have a PayPal account. And PayPal just happens to flash *!!eBay!!* in my eyes. What a coincidence! I happened to have had a few dollars through my PayPal account, from projects I do from time to time. Anyways, I remember that this product existed and headed over to eBay to search for it and see the prices. I scrolled, mouth open in shock, as some of the starting bids were almost as much as buying it in store. I almost gave up when my luck renewed itself and I spotted an eBay seller who had one with the current bid of $2.50 US! Amazing. The end date of the auction was to end in a day, so I decided to watch it and when the last few minutes begin to put in a bid before the auction closed. 8 hours later, with still 2 hours to go, I checked back and nearly cried as I saw that the price had jumped to over $7! It may not seem like much but with shipping and handling plus converting to US dollars from Canadian, it's a bit much. I left that auction.

In the mean time, I spotted a Smashbox lip gloss in a beautiful pink shade that was sheer, not available in Canada, and started at the reasonably low price of 99 cents US (In store normal price is $12) . It had no current bids and I wanted it. 6 hours later it was mine, for 99 cents US. Shipping and handling to Canada was an extra $4.50. I was about to pay for it and then at the bottom of the page I saw the ever elusive cheeky tint blush going for $1.13 + $3.50 in shipping charges but with no current bid and it just happened to be from the seller of the lip gloss. Clicking to the blush's page I saw that the seller would offer a discounted shipping price if purchased with other products they sold. Like I mentioned earlier in this post I'm very frugal so any way for me to save a few bucks I'll get in on it :). I quickly messaged the seller and told her that I have my eye on the blush and that I was the one of the winners of an item she sold. She messages me back saying that if I were to win the blush, I would get an overall discount on both items. Yay! Let the watching begin, I had 2 days.

Day One of watching this thing like a hawk went by easily. There was one bid on it, but it was just the starter bid someone had put in. It was nothing to stress about but I was kind of upset with that bidder, (although I had no idea who the bidder is. It's confidential) most people know the trick of eBay was to wait until it was almost over. Why they had bid with a day to go I had no clue. Back to waiting.

By the middle of Day Two, the price went up again to $2.50. I started to stress out a little. I had until 2am before this auction ended and I was wishing that I would be one of the only ones watching and bidding on this. 10 minutes to go, and my palms were starting to sweat. I refresh the page and it bumps up again to $3.45. "WHAT THE HELL!!" I shouted at the computer. There was no way I was going to go past 5 dollars with this. On top of that I had a few days left to pay for the lip gloss and if I missed this auction and waited for the next one, I would lose the lip gloss and my eBay rep would drop a point. I would not let this little item slip past me again.

5 minutes and the bid held steady at $3.45. 4, 3 and then 2 minutes go by and the price hasn't budged. Things may be looking up for me. With a new refresh, I had 1 minute to go and according to eBay the next bid had to be $4.50. Alright. I refresh again and notice I had 50 seconds to go. When I was bidding on the lip gloss I noticed that it took about 7 seconds for the page to load before I found out I won the gloss. So when there was about 20 seconds left and anxiety filling my body, I put in my bid of $4.50 and hit enter. I also had to confirm the bid and that took an extra 4 seconds. I was the Current Highest Bidder. The site moved me to a page where, with a live countdown clock, I could keep refreshing to see if I was still on top. 5...4...refresh (and hoping another bid didn't sneak in, and.... nope still safe)...2...1.....I waited a nanosecond before refreshing again and seeing the words all eBay bidders hope to see: "Congratulations! You are the Winner of this Auction!" I squealed with joy and did a little happy dance on the chair.

I emailed the seller and told her I was done bidding on items and that I would like to pay and asked for the total including the discounted shipping. Grand Total for both items with the new shipping and converting to Canadian: $16.30. Not bad...All I had to do now was wait. 10 days later and Smashbox's O-Glow Cheek Colour with Goji Berry Extract, is now in my hands, on my fingers but more importantly on my cheeks! :)

By the way, yes, they were both brand new and unopened. The only used items I would buy via eBay would be vintage clothing, but that's another story.

A Rose Romance

There are a few very good reasons why I am absolutely addicted to M.A.C. and have found few make-up brands that can compare. First of all, the vividness of the exhausting range of colors is almost incomparable. There is a color to match every skin-tone, no matter how light or dark one may be. Plus, for those ladies who want to take their make-up a notch and try more dramatic looks, MAC has a multitude of its own artist-inspired creations to choose from under Looks. There will never be a shortage of choices. All one truly needs is a little inspiration!
So what does MAC have in store for this season? With the onset of spring, MAC's latest collection, is rose-inspired with touches of sheer pinks, shimmery lilacs and soft blues. The entire feel of this collection is very delicate and surreal. Browse through some of the looks inspired by this collection and you'll find yourself nodding in agreement.
So what are my personal favorites? I fell in love with the new See thru Lip Color in Tender Tryst. I'm not a huge fan of dramatic mouths as I nearly almost always emphasize my eyes more but this color is simply sumptuous and will have your mouth dripping in les cerises!
Sooner or later, it's definitely going to find its way into my handbag! ;)

Career Inspiration

Patricia Field.

I'd be the happiest person in the world to meet, job-shadow, or even talk to for 1 brief minute with this woman. The work she has done for the most fashion forward shows and movies is outstanding. Simply put, a fashion icon.

Beyonce in Balmain

As much as I hate to admit it, celebrities do sometimes influence my decision when it comes to clothing. I mean, take the Balmain jacket seen on Beyonce for example, I had only noticed the denim version of this jacket when I was browsing through the Spring '09 collection on style.com. Had I not seen these pictures popping up all over the net of her in this jacket, I would have never known it existed!
However, now that I've studied every little detail, starting from the angular shoulder pads to the eagles etched on the slightly oxidized silver buttons, I must say I am in love.

I have been looking for an "inspired" version on ebay ever since, and ofcourse, the mothership of all knock-offs - Zara. However, for those of you who have the cash to spare, you can get the original for $11,410 or the denim version for 5,075 at net-a-porter.com. For now, I'll live vicariously through Beyonce!
P.S. I LOVE her new hair-cut!

3.5 inches and up

I can never be too tall. At 5'9", it would seem obvious that I shouldn't have to tower over the average person any more than I have to. However that isn't always the case. Let it be known that I don't always wear heels, but the times I do...*sigh*... I feel amazing; a little bit more womanly, a bit more flirty and a lot less shy. The extra confidence that appears with me in heels is definitely needed. Seeing a tall person made taller by artificial means does make them stick out like a sore thumb. Back at home, the minute I take them off, I feel like Cinderella, losing her glitz and glam at midnight. I then understand and feel, just for a second, what it's like being short.

Almost every week, for as long as I can remember, I sit and watch Fashion Television and In Fashion, in the hopes of catching a glimpse of the heels that are on the likes of Coco Rocha, Kate Moss, Chanel Iman, and Daria Werbowy as they parade down the runway of the most in fashion designers. The Louis Vuitton heels from it's recent Spring show caught my eye while watching and I had to find out more.

Behold "Spicy"

There are many variations available that Marc Jacobs had designed for these beauties, which adds to it's appeal and uniqueness. However with my budget, these shoes will remain in my dreams and not in my closet (The price ranges from $1000-$3000).

As the weather is getting warmer, the opportunity for my stilettos, platforms and wedges to make their appearance in the sun is fast approaching. When that time has come, I'll be there and you'll see me, heads above the others.

I guess I jumped on the blogging bandwagon a little too late, but now that I am here, let's talk some fashion! I am the kind of girl who forever finds something or another to obsess about. Once I acquire the object of my desire, I begin to want something new just as quickly.

I am all about accessories, mostly handbags, that is where I spend most, if not all of my money. Most of the handbags in my collection are from Chloe, Yves Saint Laurent, Miu Miu and Balenciaga ofcourse!

For everyday basics, I rely on GAP, Old Navy, and Banana Republic. If I want something that is absolutely unique, Anthropologie is my one stop shop.
